The Trustees of Hazel’s Footprints Trust have agreed to continue their long-running support of Ngambenyi Primary with a grant of £5,000 towards the day-to-day operating costs of the school in 2019.
The donation follows on from a similar grant last year and, of course, the significant funding they provided to rebuild the school, and has guaranteed the future of the lunch programme and the two teacher salaries we sponsor at Ngambenyi for at least one more year.
Speaking on behalf of the school, headteacher Duncan Kodi said: “Ngambenyi Primary teaching staff, pupils and community sincerely appreciate Hazel’s Footprints Trust for their tireless support of the school. The two teachers employed have improved the pupil-teacher ratio as we had a shortage from the government, while the feeding programme has improved health standards, reduced absenteeism and increased the concentration span of pupils during lessons.”
If you know of any trusts or companies that might be interested in providing similar funding for our other partner schools, or indeed you might be interested in donating or raising the funds yourself, then please get in touch.
