Now in her sixth year of supporting Kiteghe Primary School, our ambassador, Suzanne Payne, is aiming to raise £4,000 this year to cover the cost of the feeding programme and one teacher’s salary.
To date, Suzanne has raised more than £37,000 from her friends and family through her Baskets4Bread initiatve, which has helped us to deliver our feeding programme at Kiteghe since early 2014 and to sponsor the salaries of additional teachers at the school.
Suzanne has recently returned from her annual trip to Kasigau and was able to see the work that her fundraising and the donations from her friends and family has made possible, as well as other redevelopment projects we are currently undertaking at Kiteghe. Commenting on photos that she shared on Facebook of the feeding programme in action, Suzanne said: “Thank you for making this wonderful, important programme possible. We couldn’t do it without you and African Promise.”
